To include cost-of-living and annual performance bonus programs.
Earn up to 13-26 days per year. This will depend on total years of federal and/or active duty military service. Up to 240 hours can be carried-over from year to year.
Earn 13 working days per year, unlimited accumulation.
10 paid federal holidays each year.

Comprehensive Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS). FERS incorporates Social Security Benefits, a Basic Benefits Plan, as well as a Thrift Savings Plan (401k).
Thrift Savings Plan (401k)
A tax-deferred retirement savings and investment program. Individuals can choose to contribute a percentage of basic pay subject to an IRS maximum, for persons who do contribute to the TSP, VCS will match up to 5% of basic pay.
VCS managers may be asked to accept positions that will require geographic relocation.
When training is successfully completed, or for subsequent relocations, VCS provides the following benefits:

Positions in the VCS include:
Store Manager: Responsible for day-to-day store operations including retail, food, coffee, vending and services.
Assistant Store Manager: Works directly with and reports to Store Manager. May be assigned specific areas of an operation, e.g. food, administrative, operations, etc.
Assistant Store Manager in Training: Trains directly under the Store Manager.
Operations Clerk: Clerical and administrative responsibilities in the canteen administrative office with collateral duties assigned within canteen operations. Accounts for and verifies all withdrawals and deposits, oversees/verifies receipts of funds on a daily basis, prepares correspondence for canteen chief, and assists in day-to-day canteen operations.
Food Service Worker: Performs a variety of food service duties in support of the VCS food operation. The employee assists with the preparation, presentation, and serving of food items. The Food Service Worker also assists with receiving and storing of food deliveries. Also may require the operations of a cash register. Provides exceptional customer service.
Retail Sales Associate: Assist customers in the selection and sale of merchandise directly to customers. Requires the operation of a cash register, and perform other related duties such as merchandise control, merchandise replenishment and display. Provides exceptional customer service.
Supply Clerk: Receives, inspects, and counts incoming merchandise deliveries; prepares receiving documents; marks and stores merchandise. Brings merchandise from the stock room to the sales floor. Provides exceptional customer service.
Vending Clerk: Responsible for assortment management, stockroom operations, cash handling and inventory accountabilities and the upkeep and maintenance of assigned vending machines. Conduct daily inspections of machines, responsible for the installation and maintenance of product assortment and marketing programs. Provides exceptional customer service.

- College degree preferred.
- Directly related management experience that reflects a high level of achievement and performance, preferably with a major regional or nationwide retailer or with a major restaurant chain.
- Strong leadership skills...the ability to lead by personal example with sensitivity to the needs of others...a commitment to the importance of training and developing subordinates and instilling a customer service focused "team" attitude within the VCS Workforce.
- A strong work ethic with a high level of energy and desire to achieve.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills... the ability to enthusiastically motivate the workforce to achieve established sales and customer service goals.
- The ability to quickly adapt to the requirements of a fast-paced, ever changing work environment.
- A willingness to react according to the needs of VCS.
